Synopsis:
He heard a group of people whispering in the grass, plotting to kill the horse, and began frantically searching for the horse they were talking about. He entered the wilderness and saw the mysterious tribal beliefs and the radiance in the raging floods. With the dance of fire, everything burned to ashes. In the ashes, the neighing of the horse could be heard.

About The Director
GUO Xiaoruo
Animation creator, teacher at China Academy of Art. Currently works and lives in Hangzhou, China. His works have won many film and animation festival awards and have been shortlisted: the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival (Golden Goblet Award_Best Animaed Short
Film), the 33rd Minsk International Film Festival (Special Jury Award), etc.
Director's Statement
Kill the horse is an animated short film based on metaphor and absurdity, expressing a cruel and poetic confrontation through a person's crazy search for a horse about to be killed, exploring the eternal themes of power, control, and spiritual liberation. The film attempts to throw the audience into a surreal enclosed space, using minimalist narrative and strong visual symbols to question the symbiotic relationship between self and id.
